What to Wear?

Figuring out the perfect outfit to wear can be a difficult enough on any given day of the week, let alone finding the right outfit for pictures. Here are a few suggestions to help you decide on the "right one". Clothing choice can help make a big impact on the overall tone of the photo. Keep in mind that the objective is to draw the eye to your faces and should not be overly distracting. Choose clothing the is flattering and well fitting.

Consider the color, texture (i.e., knits, ruffles, denim), and accessories. Think coordinating, not matching. Try to avoid large pictures, graphics, writing, busy designs, and logos.

For family pictures, choose colors that complement each other. Avoid trendy clothing so that you can enjoy your pictures for years to come without being too distracted by outdated styles.

Here are a few examples.
